I am a screenwriter, director, and editor with a strong focus on character-driven storytelling and genre films. I am drawn to creative challenges and projects that demand both artistic vision and practical execution.

1994 – Present

My passion for filmmaking began when my parents brought home a video camera. From my first hesitant experiments with stop-motion films using toys, to directing feature films with international casts, each step deepened my fascination with storytelling through moving images.



When the camera temporarily disappeared from my life, I shifted my creative focus toward writing. I began with short stories, explored theater, and ultimately found my voice in screenwriting. Alongside writing, I continuously expanded my understanding of cinema by studying films from every era and cultural background.

After completing my training and acquiring my first professional camera, I founded Eight Elements Films and produced my debut feature film Jerry Coel. The project marked a creative milestone and opened the door to further work in feature filmmaking, music videos, and documentary projects. During this time, I also discovered the value of film as a tailored creative service for clients and collaborators.

In 2022, to avoid name confusion, I restructured my company and founded Daniel Vossen Filmproductions. Jerry Coel went on to receive international recognition at film festivals, leading to my next feature film, No Time to Think. A screenplay for a follow-up project is currently in development.

Film is not only my profession but a long-term commitment. I value collaboration, the exchange of ideas, and the challenge of shaping each project into something distinctive. Whether working on narrative films or commissioned projects, my goal is always to create focused, authentic, and impactful cinematic experiences.
